Guest VegasToon
Pardew took his squad to Faro for a mid-season break yesterday morning, with Carroll on board the flight. When asked about Carroll’s fitness, Pardew told the Chronicle: “Andy Carroll will be the closest. But he was less optimistic on centre-back Taylor. He said: “No chance on Steven Taylor for Fulham, and Tiote’s still suspended. “He’ll (Taylor) be ready for Arsenal, when I think Andy will play. “It’s just a case of whether Andy makes Fulham.” Andy is only going across to smash some Portugese lass's hips in. "Carona Me! Carona Me!" Andy Carroll doesn't teabag lasses, he potato sacks them.
Guest Shaun
Could be lying, not have been lying, but I'm glad someone understands We should have him stuffed and mounted. I'd rather mount then stuff him.
Guest Tall Striker
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/9373739.stm Aguerro valued at £39m as he's a 22 year old with 7 league goals. Puts it into perspective how much Carroll is worth.

Puts it into perspective how much Carroll is worth. He's a fair bit further on though, been pretty consistent in La Liga for years hasn't he? Was at the World Cup too. Puts it into perspective how much Carroll is worth. FFS you can't just look at one season's performance and compare the price. The main similarity between the two players is their age/youth. Aguerro has been consistently scoring goals in La Liga and Europe for several seasons now
Ronaldo
The bid's come from a team outside La Liga, though.
alpal78
The bid's come from a team outside La Liga, though. so they are still looking at how he performed in La Liga and Europe as a benchmark, makes no difference. He has been consistently good over several seasons, whilst Carroll is just about to complete his first 'good' season in the Premiership
Ronaldo
I agree, but there has to be a correlation here. A lot can to be said for looking so good in this league. Fwiw, I think Aguero will rock the premiership like a cradle. Hell of a player.
Big Geordie
Pardew just been on Radio Newcastle. News on Carroll isn't good and he's gonna definitely be out of Fulham and probs Arsenal too. He has a tear in an area of his thigh which is taking a long time to heal. He is going to see a specialist in Sweden, on Friday. Reckon we could do with a new striker in, if I'm honest. Fenham Mag
Hope he doesn't end up a permacrock like Woodgate. IIRC , it was this kind of injury that started his problems.
Big Geordie
Forgot to add that Pardew also said they hoped to get Carroll running in Portugal, but it's not happened. I genuinely think that he's gonna be out for a bit (and perhaps much) longer.

When i hear thigh muscle tear , i think of Woodgate pulling up at the Leazes chasing the ball Vs Chelsea, his last ever game for us.
Fenham Mag
I use to fucking adore Woodgate like, as i do Carroll. Thigh tears are the destroyers of many a footballer.
