If the saying, "these things level themselves out over the course of a season" really is true, then we're in for a flurry of dodgy penalties in our favour from now until May.

Well that's one back.

For all his faults Shola can take a penalty, seems to be the rare time he gets any sort of power into a shot.

Have to say, when we got the pen my first thought was that Nolan might take it.

When they said (on radio) that Ameobi had the ball, I was ****ting it!!!

All credit though, I dont think he's missed any he's taken (not many admittedly), has he?

Don't think he has, I also expected Nolan to take it and despite him showing before he can take one I still expect Shola to fuck one up sooner or later and I don't mean it just being saved or slightly wide, I mean him slipping, chipping it up onto his hand and the opposition winning a freekick.

Never a penalty today, but it evens out for all the decisions we should have had this season, and against the team we needed it the most against.

Marwood said he's one of the best in training, scary!

I logged on to MSN to 5 conversations of "THAT WAS NEVER A PEN"

they'll be talking about that for the next 10 years

Someone in Sunderland there's a pile of DVD boxsets entitled "The Double" burning.

It'll keep the whole of Pennywell warm for the next month then. Probably bring out a DVD of "best 1-1 draws" to commemorate this match.
