Mick
I thought we split the Grimsby defence really well in the first half and was only let down by McGorrigan who doesn't seem to understand the off-side rules, maybe he's got too many female hormones. Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Really enjoy reading stuff like this, thanks a lot Obi! Ah, thank you I should probably take notes though, rather than relying on memory. Grimsby scored in the 2nd half from the spot, not the 1st!
thenige
Living in London I managed to get along to the West Ham v Man Utd game and to be honest, neither side were all that impressive. Of course you have to take into account their age and experience, but Man Utd really struggled to create any clear cut chances, and if the WHM goalkeeper hadn't have made a mistake for their goal (or had some absolutely shocking kicks during the game) it could have been much tighter. The so-called 'names' in their youth team were too busy doing pointless tricks to cause any really penetration. Our youth team perhaps isn't as good as it's been in recent years, but in terms of quality I don't think we should be fearful of a hammering in the next round. I also went to Chelsea v Arsenal, where I'd say the standard was much higher, Josh MaEachran (unsurprisingly) and Milan Lalkovic definitely standing out from the rest. Grimsby didn't score from the spot in either half so the notes might be a good idea.

binnsy
Getting dicked 4-0 against 10 men Unbelievable scoreline bearing in mind we are currenlty top of the league and Bolton are bottom! 4 nil down at HT.

toontownman
We are playing a pretty inexperienced team tbf. Still 4-0 down to 10 men is a little scary.

binnsy
Where is Aiery? or is he now offically the next Carroll? No idea about Airey, could be injured could be in the squad for 2moro. Very difficult to get info on the youngsters. Vuckic looks to have vanished and nothings been said if he's injured(presume he is) and if he is whats wrong and how long he's out for. La Parka
I think Airey will be in the squad tomorrow! Go on lads, do it!
Ashley17
Airey has a hamstring injury, I read it in one of the local papers earlier. Chronicle I think.
La Parka
Ah, shame. Still it seems those in the youth team have been given a huge display that at Newcastle we have to rely on youth, so hard work and determination and they too could earn multi million pound moves to similar clubs!
