"Shearer will want to get rid of those players who caused the demise of Kevin Keegan"

"Ignacio Gonzalez has hardly been seen near the first team" [fair point, but he has had a serious injury]

"Jonas Gutierriez has been a bitter disappointment" [er, what?]

"Fabrizio Coloccini, remember he cost £10million, has been unable to hold down a regular first team place" [he's started every match this season hasn't he?]

Simply incredible.

where is all this rubbish?

The segment they've just had on with the black lad from The Mirror, talking about how the timing of this story fucked up the London Press who were all out congratulating themselves at the British Press Awards last night, only for this to be

"a story of such magnitude...it's rare that England get knocked off the back page on the day of an England match...but Newcastle have definitely done it"

small club, eh?

I don't normally mind Darren Lewis but that was some shit he spouted. At least get facts right. Colo not holding a regular place, he has probably made the most appearances in our back 4 this season, and Jonas has been far from a bitter dissapointment.

It's all scripted for him. The presenters on SSN don't actually have to think about what they say or do, they're just robots regurgitating information from a teleprompter.

The radio was just as bad this morning.

At 7am Five Live got NE5's mate on, the 'chairman' of everyone's favourite non-existant supporters association. Then later I switched to Talksport and Henry Winter reckoned we've said nowt yet because we're waiting for the stock market to open. Alan Brazil even called us a PLC.

Summed up the level British journalism in general - and that buffoon in particular - has sunk to, in a nutshell.

So these self-same press types keep telling us.....

Colo has missed what, 5 minutes of football after going off against the mackems?

in other news, the constant use of the word 'lol' is really starting to piss me off

Means the lollies they're sucking on (amongst other things)

Banking crisis is over

Big Al's back at the Toon. (Capital letter in Toon from now on)
