I'd play the following team, although Hughton won't: Krul Beye S.Taylor Kadar Enrique Barton Guthrie Lua-Lua Vuckic Duff Carroll Seven established players most likely to give a s*** coupled with hungry youngsters who can inject that extra bit of willingness into the team, without being completely void of talent themselves. We might aswell forfeit the 3 points with that team, Lua Lua, Vuckic & Kadar ahead of Jonas, Coloccini & Nolan? We should play our strongest team regardless unless transfers stop us from doing so. Krul in goal wouldn't really be a problem either, Harper is hardly as good as he used to be (or at least not in top form). Krul looks edgy to me, Harper on the other hand looks fine and certainly imrpoved as time went on last season. TRon Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 As much as I hate Shola and have tried to keep open minded about Xisco baring in mind his lack of opportunities, Xisco hasn't looked like any sort of threat in any of the games he's played. We just need someone up front with an eye for goal. If Xisco is given a go he might surprise us. Whereas with Shola if he gets anywhere near to the penalty area and hits a shot at more than 20mph Chris Hughton will probably pass out in shock. If there was nothing there he couldn't have made that pass, it was far from the obvious option. Like I say the lad has talent and I really think he will be important for us provided he stays. If he cared any less, he'd fall asleep. i know he's managed to get progressively worse and less interested in every game he's played! Started like you'd expect an Argentinian international to perform when he looked quality against Darlo but has been a disgrace in the last 2 games.
