The other games today - 2009/10

The match makes me think about the inconsistency of refereeing. I think Mike Dean's been very good and let a lot go, but if another official had been in charge there would've been 20-30 stoppages and yellow cards all over.

That's because they're not robots.  Apart from Steve Bennett.

I realise that, but surely they (you!) can see a reffing performance like this where the game isn't broken up millions of times and people are allowed to tackle is better?

Yeah, naturally I agree.  I had a similar game myself this morning   I happen to think Dean is the best ref in the country.

Arsenal are so slow sometimes. Wenger's gone to such an extreme to avoid long-ball that it's just ridiculous at times.

Which is why your pal doesn't shine for them.

If Wenger and Ferguson had any sense they'd swap Theo plus cash for Berbatov. Both playing for the wrong team imo. Berbatov would thrive under these conditions and Walcott would excel in a counter-attacking side like Man U.

Agree with that. Go set it up and get yourself a fee.

Wenger was having a go at someone on the Chelsea bench there at the bottom of the screen.  He's such a sore loser.

He's a cretin, and he's worse than ever now. SBR had it right about him and that was years ago.

Bobby liked him I think. I do recall some negative comments after a game though.

Terry's just phenomenal, unbelievable that folk think he can be replaced in the England team.

When Ashley Cole went forward & left a hole, he was across in a flash to fill it. It is like filling in the hole left by a fullback is 2nd nature to him.

There is a lot to admire about Wenger, but he has zero dignity or class. I can't remember SBR's exact words but they were about that, I think.
