Guest palnese
I'll miss his passion, but I think Cabaye will replace Barton's qualities with ease. We still need a squad though, and it's not looking too good, is it? On the right of midfield? He's hardly played out wide, mate. He's been drifting from RM to CM during his spell as "RM" here. He did defend from a RM position though.
olliemort
Can't believe that after he played (well) in the first two game. Would have been obvious if he hadn't played and still had to train on his own but that's surprising now. It also shows - once again - that Pardew knows next to nothing. Didn't think he done much against except waste set pieces, diving and grabbing gervinho in which he could have being easily sent off "We and Joey know what we're doing... " I guess he didn't. Guest johnson293
lee_ryder Lee Ryder We'll see what happens. JB is clever enough to go to London, buy some books and come back to a hero's welcome -unless he wants the £££ #nufc 1 minute ago There is that angle too - Bet Joey would love that!! taxfree
Well, then I reckon his quotes are real as well: "spoken to Barton, says he's talking to QPR as #NUFC dont want him so he has to go somewhere. " And why is David Craig there with him!?
Guest Mantis
Joey's tweet of recent springs to mind #mejoseandjonasnext I'm sick to death of this regime.
KaKa
If QPR offer him any kind of decent long term contract he will have to go. What is he 29? If he gets injured this season without securing a deal he is toast.
TherealnorthernTOON
Just can't help feeling that Ashley got some kind of personal vendetta against some of the crop. Pushing them out the door.

Nail on head He has a family now long term security is vital The is fernandes marquee signing and they will throw a 5 year massive bucks contract at him He is gone Please do not blame him, when you take your b&w spectacles off if is the ONLY decision
SimplyAnth
I honestly don't know whether Joey has a positive or detrimental effect on team spirit? I like the guy, but can completely understand why others don't.
David28
Yeah, long term security is vital because he has a familiy. Sure, after having earned millions and millions the years before.
Marko NUFC
first Carroll then Nolan, Jose Enrique and now probably Barton whole spine of the team is gone and still without new players...what would happen if Coloccini goes as well? Only one who should we sell is Cashley

Naive in the extreme. His lifestyle and the one he wants to lead post football demands he earns top whack for the next 5-6 years! One cruciate knee injury in the next match equals 10-20 million in lost earnings Mate you wouldn't think twice!

LionOfGosforth
No doubt he's as good as gone, QPR will offer him a huge contract and that will be that. Ya know, the mongs running this club could have avoided all or most of the bad taste from selling Enrique and kicking Barton out by just having the foresight to have their replacements in the bag first. If we signed Pieters and then sold Enrique and signed (for arguments sake) Barnetta prior to letting Barton go, most would be willing to just move on. They do everything backwards, sell or give away players and worry (if they even worry at all) later about replacing them. Just the wrong way to do business. Not that they give the slightest toss about what the fans want or think

Guest bimpy474
David Craig if he is actually there like, that has Mckay's prints all over it, get Sky's cameras to interview joey so he looks like the victim again. Tbf Joey is being treated badlyish, but where not stupid, instead of putting up some kind of defence/drama queen act, here's a thought, just tell the truth and say Q.P.R have offered him long term security. The big act from footballers/clubs/Sky really is tiresome, do they think we are all as thick as they are ?.
