Joey Barton

Trying to grasp a small positive out of this, is Barton the last of McKay's players or do we have any others represented by the odious c***?

Willie McKay is a Scottish football agent based in Monaco. He is the agent of many top-level footballers, mainly based in England and France -specifically the Premier League. His clients include James McFadden, Joey Barton, Henri Camara, Scott McDonald, Jean-Joël Perrier-Doumbé, Charles N'Zogbia, Tyrone Mears, Amdy Faye, Ross McCormack, and Pascal Chimbonda.

Is Willie McKay also the agent for Saylor?

I thought his dad acted for him?

I'm sure this is so.

He used to, but I think its Paul Stratford now (Rooney's Agent).

Ah.

Ashley could become a hero now with offering him a contract and getting his chopper to London. Do it!

:frantic:

Don't be silly. Do you have any idea how much fuel choppers eat up?

That's probably true as well

To be fair none of those players should be anywhere near the top flight (except Zog) and they all are. He's doing his job...

Still a horrible man though.

Yup.

Canny read about McKays mis-dealings.

I like how they had the keys in the helicopter and a full tank of fuel when Liverpool came knocking for Carroll. But Joey's had to get the train to London.

That's the difference between Money on the table & going for free.

QPR you can have him.......if we take Taraabt for nothing too  :pow:

Wouldn't want the c***, even not for money.

On the radio earlier they said he is a nightmare.  Often refuses to travel with the first team to matches and makes his own way there and turns up to training when he feels like it - can be 2 hours late sometimes.  There would be just too many problems with him at NUFC.  Can definitely see there being friction between him and Barton.

Warnock says the other players are not allowed to give him the ball in his own half because he is to too much of a liability in that area of the pitch.

Barton not doing himself any favours with these contract Tweets. There was a contract offer Joey - you refused to sign it. Simple. #NUFC

Wonder if barton asked to play in the mackems match them he'll go, could imagine him saying that

Did he lead the shirt throwing? Could have been a sign.... a parting gesture.

Thought the same, but obviously didn't want to think about it just after a derby win.

Was this Talksport? Sounds like a load of bollocks to me.

He has always been one of the first to go over to the fans and often throws his shirt to the crowd so I didn't see anything unusual.

Howay man, the club couldn't have made him feel more marginalised and unwanted.  Except they could have made him continue to train with the kids over the last couple of weeks.  But they didn't because we needed him as he's a good player.  That's the point here, that we're not treating our best players with any class or respect.  It'll happen to Tiote, Collocini and Ben Arfa one day and there'll still be an element of 'greedy Judas cunt' about it, and the cycle continues but we stand still, or worse go backwards.

This no-nonsense, non-negotiable, classless bullshit might work fine with minimum wage workers with no option but to shut up and accept it, but you need a more flexible approach with valued professional footballers and also other football clubs who want to hang on to their assets or at least get a decent fee for them.  If Obertan's meant to be Barton's replacement then it's a fucking joke and we've lost out.

If we had put Barton on the transfer list and received say 1-2 M for him, we could have bought Pieters at a slightly inflated price and not have been so worried about haggling.

I don't see why we are letting him go for nought.

Every other part of this regime is tighter than a fishes arse.

He's not been good for the last two games, but Im afraid we're going to miss his ability many times during this season. We're basically putting pressure on Marveaux an Cabaye to take over and settle down very quickly.

For him to go to QPR I can only assume he thinks he can have a similar sort of season to Scott Parker last year, catch Capello's eye, then when in the Championship get his dream move to join Kevin Nolan if West Ham go up...it just doesn't make any footballing sense for the player imo this like. He's walking straight into a relegation scrap, whereas if he stayed here, he'd have his pick of clubs for free anyway next summer rather than have a club who'll be trying to force the best fee possible when they're back in the Championship.
