Rumours of a left sided Spurs player and someone put 2 & 2 together and got Bale. Quite possibly judging from what JOH's uncle has been saying on one of the forums. The only way we could get shot of KPBoateng was to let Pompey have JOH on loan as well. Up until then, the plan was that he would go out on loan elsewhere at the end of the window.
