Something in The Chronicle tonight about Forest Green wanting Mills and can offer him a more lucrative contract. That'd be a huge blow.

Mills has confirmed he's staying at the Heed and enjoying his time there.

Aye, he's set them a target of getting to the Play-Offs, FA Cup 3rd Round & FA Trophy Final. Ambition. :yao:

  • 2 weeks later...

Wrexham away (currently 17th in the Conference) if they win the replay. Would love to see them in Round 3 after they blew the chance of an away trip to Everton losing at home to Tamworth a few years ago.

Bodes well for if they get through next week.

Was just looking at the match report from the last time they got to the Second Round...looks like it was Jak Alnwick that cost them a trip to Goodison.

Gateshead keeper Jak Alnwick was at fault for both goals as Tamworth beat their Blue Square Bet Premier rivals.

Francino Francis put the Lambs ahead from two yards after Alnwick, on loan from Newcastle, dropped a corner.

The Heed had Chris Carruthers sent off for a foul on Danny Mills but Alnwick saved Kieron St Aimie's penalty.

Nathan Fisher swivelled and finished to make it 1-1 but Alnwick dropped another corner in the last minute and Kyle Patterson was the Lambs' hero.

On BT Sport in the very near future, I think next week

Sure i read that IF they get through and play Wrexham away next round, that will also be live. Thought about going v Oxford. Certainly cheap enough. Just too easy to stay in the warmth and watch it on the box. For that reason i'm out.

No club deserves a "canny crowd" more than the Heed. Just seems like a great club and great bunch of people from the chairman down to the fans.
