Smith on the other hand, how is he doing at MK Dons?
Newcastle Fan
Fat Sam's signing for us had been horrific, mostly a bunch of over-weight over-payed wasters.
Ameritoon
That was my first summer following the club, I remember being up late on vacation reading that article and being really excited about Smith. I knew his name so it was a good transfer to me.

AyeDubbleYoo
I thought Smith was going to be a decent buy at the time. You might want to use this to assess my current opinions.

Froggy
Well every time he got an opportunity for us he worked his arse off. There are a lot of people who see a tough tackling player and automatically assume he works hard, but that wasn't Smith. He chased down every ball, went into every tackle and never complained when Fergie converted him from striker to midfielder. He was a very useful player, and his injury was a shame. Obviously everyone here will have different opinions on him that may be justified, but for I liked him for us.
AyeDubbleYoo
I think he worked hard for us too, he just wasn't very good. Ironically if he had not been so compliant he might not have allowed Fergie to ruin his career.

LRD
His career was ruined more by injury than anything else.
Froggy
I can remember the day it happened too. Scousers gloating that it was Riise's power that broke his leg. Classy.

Ryan_Taylor
I didn't mind Smith, it was the criminal amount of money we we're paying him I didn't like.
LRD
Ridiculous how Fergie always seem to sell us damaged goods. Smith, Butt, Obertan. We have been royally screwed on so many occasions.
Froggy
This when they threw rocks at the ambulance? Yeah. They also sang, "Hey Riise, I wanna know, how you broke his leg," while he was lying in agony on the pitch. Horrid cunts.

How many times has Fergie sold a player that didnt want to leave and he's gone on to do better? Stam and Forlan, probably a few more but not that many considering the length of his reign. Recently he's used Sunderland as his dumping ground, I'd never buy a player from Manu again, if he tried to sell me Rooney I'd wonder if I was being done over. I'll put van Nistelrooy in that category too. Generally, he sells at the right time as does Wenger.
Yorkie
Does Smith even get in the MK Dons team? £60k a week for a player who was completely and utterly finished. Fucking despicable signing.
