Mike Williamson (now managing MK Dons)

Recommended Posts

Ignoring their second goal, he was abysmal tonight. Stood off his man all night (Kalinic and Roberts), lost almost every header, got turned easily and contributed massively to a unbelievably nervous defensive performance.

If that's how he plays when he should be full of confidence, then how's he going to play when his confidence is shot?

I really want to see Campbell or Taylor come into the side to partner Colo. The guy offers next to nowt outside his own 18 yard box and is average at best inside of it.

Don't know why he was attacking far post so much tonight, he was awful every time he got near the ball from set pieces, and not just in this game.  It's a shame, he's done so well at the back.

Both of them are better CBs and have a lot more Premiership experience than him.

I've said it before that I thought Williamson is a weak player, proved right. He's decent at tackling and reads the game fairly well, but he will get bullied out of games. Campbell in on Sat please.

Here come the overreactions then

From England cap to benchwarmer in 90 minutes

Which idiot(s) mentioned an England cap?

I swear you take pride in some of players having poor games like. If Lovenkrands had come on and offered fuck all, you'd have been jizzing all over the telly.

I see the vultures are out after one questionable performance..? Pathetic...

Colo was as much if not more to blame for their second. What the hell was he doing that far up being turned so easily by Roberts..?

We have one of the best defenders ever to grace the PL on the bench, even if he is old.

Williamson has done OK, but no better. Then there's Taylor, who's quicker, as good in the air, and like Campbell; a threat in the opposing area.

Bit like Ben Arfa replacing Jonas at Everton. If the player is better, it's worth a try.

Yes, but Ronaldo needs a scapegoat and who better to help him gloss over Coloccini's rick than Mike Williamson, the man he's slated and put down even after good performances?

Calling players gash and posters idiots are basically Ronaldo's twin purposes in life.

Following instructions and plays they've worked on all week probably.

No shit.

The point was that it isn't working and it shouldn't be him attacking far post if he can't make it work.  As I said, it's not just this game he has been poor at that.
