Rebellious
Sensationalist bullshit anyway. A tiny percentage of fights actually involve guns or blades. Not like Rio to talk shite... Depends where you live. A total of 832,439 crimes were recorded in London in 2009, There were 3,306 firearm offences, 12,611 Knife crimes recorded. Increasing yearly. Manchester is pretty bad for it too according to a few friends up there. Rebellious
Does anybody really ever get in knife fights? Wrong topic I suppose this should be in chat. •On average there are 28 stabbings per week across the region. Manchester. http://andrewstunell.org.uk/en/article/2009/032065/knife-crime-soars-across-greater-manchester-and-the-north-west
Guest BooBoo
28 stabbings a week sounds a lot but I'd be interested to see how many reported incidents of violence there are. I'd still anticipate the proportion to be small. I work in the north west in the criminal justice system and wounding offences coming through the courts are still relatively rare although possession of blades is quite common. I was talking to a copper whose team had swept a part of the River Irwell recently looking for a knife used in a murder. He said it was astonishing the amount of weapons the frogmen discovered had been tossed into the river, including a WW2 machine gun.
