McCormick
They've spent very little this window. net it's only around 1 or 2M Yes but they've spent upwards of 13 million pounds on an unproven striker in, what looks to be, a desperate panic buy. Not saying he won't be a success, because he might well be, but it's an extremely risky bit of business; especially when there must be plethora of more accomplished candidates out there who would represent less of a gamble for them. FrenchWilliam
To be fair, it's hardly a panic buy, they've been tracking him all summer and the price has always been quoted as 10m-15m. Still don't think it's worth it though but.
Kasper
They let our Teemu go for free and 10mins later he signs up for Ajax..... Quite an improvement for the good man http://www.ajax.nl/upload_mm/a/5/1/177805_2010-08-31%20Contract%20Tainio%200006_600x338.jpg
Thespence
Not really when the fella next him was going to bugger off to Fulham if Ajax would of let him speak to Fulham.

Thespence
Strange to see the SAFC website list players I would class as senior players only have profiles in the reserve on SAFC.com http://www.safc.com/page/ReserveSquad/0,,10281,00.html

Ashley17
They didn't get squad numbers (Ferdinand, McCartney, Healy etc) so they are reserve team players to all intents and purposes
9
Went to see what they think of Gyan on there board and its seems there more bothered about how much they spent than what they bought.. Guest Haris Vuckic
18 - Asamoah Gyan missed the target with more shots (18) & hit the woodwork (3) more often than any other player at the World Cup. Shank.

henke
"must be driving them f***ing nuts to see us spending that kind of money" Hahaha, fuck no! They're the new us. The deal was on for twelve mil, then it was off so they stumped up another mil because they were desperate to buy someone. It stinks of freddie shepherd. We could have (and would have) done exactly the same with ben arfa, but we held firm and got the lad on our terms.
