Guest
I can see Liverpool's scouting team meetings: "Right so Newcastle have scouted the following players..." Well they do have a reputation for being Carr thieving bastards, shouldn't be surprised.

Elliottman
Seems like Liverpool are the new Spurs. Every player we are after, they are too. According to the press.
taxfree
Seems like Liverpool are the new Spurs. Every player we are after, they are too. According to the press. That's all we have to go by really. Rumors about them being after "our" players, Carroll, and them being such a shitty big club, is enough to hate.
magorific
Seems like Liverpool are the new Spurs. Every player we are after, they are too. According to the press. Aye, Marveaux has come out now and said he hasn't agreed a move to Liverpool, contrary to reports.
ads
If these press rumours are to be believed and we're in, alongside Liverpool, for Marveaux and van Wolfswinkel it'll be interesting to see who they'd wish to join if they had the option. IMO neither would be a starter at Liverpool (especially vW) but would more than likely be if they came here. As I've mentioned on this forum elsewhere I don't want mercenaries at this club, I want players who WANT to pull on the shirt and WANT to play for the club. If any potential new signings who would more than likely be first XIers are happier to bench warm elsewhere then they're not what we need or want at this club. Fenham Mag
Why would he go to Liverpool and sit on the bench while Carroll and Suarez play.
ads
Why would he go to Liverpool and sit on the bench while Carroll and Suarez play. Same reason most players go to 'big' clubs to bench warm £££££££££.
taxfree
http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/newcastle-boss-pardew-i-want-someone-everton-captain-neville-1510101 Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is looking for the 'next Phil Neville'. Pardew is a huge fan of the Everton captain. He explained: “I don’t necessarily want two top-level left-backs, but you need somebody who is comfortable playing there. You need somebody like Phil Neville at Everton who can play left-back, right-back and centre midfield. “That saves you a lot of money. They call them utility players and you need someone who can play in three different positions. “A Phil Neville in the squad the other weekend would have got us a victory. A player like that would be important to us next year." Suggests we're buying two left backs then. If Enrique leaves that is.

Well dur. What next? If Shola, Best, Ranger and Lovenkrands leave, we're buying new strikers? So don't make a point out of it. Again - making a point out of fuck all. 1. Enrique is probably/maybe on his way out 2 The club is rumored to be privately resigned of losing him 3. Pardew talking about not necessarily wanting two top left backs 4. Interested in buying a utility left back player. It's a fair shout bearing in mind Enrique's situation.

Guest
Where's that? As long as it's as a Routledge squad player type replacement then great, if it's as first choice...hmm.
