Segun Oluwaniyi
Imagine a front 6 of N'Zogbia, Tiote, Nolan, Ben Arfa, Gervinho and Gameiro man. Imagine a NUFC without Nolan and Barton. Zog, Ben Arfa, Gervinho, Gameiro - as talented as they might be, they aren't as important as those two. If we sign them, they would be much more important. Nolan and Barton are only important because we don't have better players in their positions.

No, they're more important because they aren't like Zog, like Ben Arfa, like Gervinho, like Gameiro (and also like Owen and Martins in the past) who would just fuck off and stop caring if things aren't going right - they'll try to put things right because they do care. Segun Oluwaniyi
Players with options leave. Is there any player that actually denied a chance to move when we were relegated? The ones that were pursued are no longer here. People are loyal when they are without choice. Keep perpetuating this stupid myth, though.

It's not a question of loyalty, it's a matter of commitment to the cause. A team with no heart and soul is no team at all.

All that does matter is that they have been here through that season in the CCC. That has made them a team (or that 'group of lads') and thats why we shouldn't sell anyone (or not renew the contract of anyone) that is still capable of playing for another few years at top level and has been here through that CCC season. Nolan's in new contract talks even though he's still got 2 years left on his current one. I don't see how that translates as either player being turfed out. Waddles mullet
According to our information, Newcastle made these days a new offer to transfer to Toulouse to engage the services of Sheikh M'Bengue. This would amount to 6 million. For now, Toulouse has still not made a decision regarding a sale of its left side. Marseille, Lille and Lyon also follow M'Bengue. But they have not moved in a concrete way.

Regardless of rumours or speculation, the facts since Carroll left are... Tiote signed a contract until June 2017. Newcastle survived relegation and finished comfortable mid-table. Ferguson signed a contract until June 2016. Barton & Enrique are Newcastle players until at least June 2012. Nolan is a Newcastle player until June 2013. Until the latter changes (if at all), we're still going in the right direction imo for next season.
Guest BooBoo
Nut, im generally optimistic too but even I have to admit there's some heavy spin on that. Forgive mentor not wetting my pants in excitement of a young lad signing a long term deal.
