Guest Brummiemag
Teams like Greece are ruining the World Cup - sooner they go out the better. Yet another dull game

oldtype
Alright we've got the get out of jail free card, time to play like we did for the first 10 minutes again. Yet another ridiculous defensive mistake. Also staggering how mentally weak this team is, we noticeably panic whenever we concede. Never mind that though, WTF are the Argies up to? Get scoring you useless twats!
Andy
Mick McCarthy talks a fierce amount of s****. That's why he's hilarious! I like how everything he says starts with "And let. Me. Tell. Yer." or a rough equivalent.
ponsaelius
Fucking hate Greece. Korea through on goals scored if it stays like this?

Conjo
I kind of enjoy watching Greece in this match. They are so compact and diciplined you just have to admire them. They are toying with Messi who is so frustrated now he is completely out of the game, gives up the second he loses the ball and complains to the ref rather then get stuck in a bit, even if they get him in a legal manner. Not a good match, but I find it interesting and exciting because of what is at stake. If Greece goes thorugh to the next round, I fucking hope they win the whole tournament

ponsaelius
I disagree. Greece are pricks, I hope nothing but bad fortune on them.
oldtype
I've got a good feeling about this. We know how to break down Nigeria tactically and we're the far better team as long as we have our heads screwed on straight. The way they're playing is also just asking for a sending off. Since we've got it to 1-1 Greece need to draw 2-2 or win. I don't see either of those scenarios as terribly likely. (Tempting fate like mad here ) EDIT: actually, Greece have got to draw 3-

PM
2-1 Korea, the first goal direct from a free kick at the tournament? Not exactly a screamer though.
Ameritoon
2-1 Korea, the first goal direct from a free kick at the tournament? Not exactly a screamer though. There was that one about a week ago, forgot who it was, but it was a cross in the box and the target missed it, but went right into the net.
Disco
If Greece/Korea both win what are the permutations?
PM
If Greece/Korea both win what are the permutations? 1. Argentina will advance if they lose by fewer than 3 goals or the combined margin is less than 5. Korea Republic will advance if they win by a greater margin than Greece or the combined margin is greater than 5. Greece will advance if they win by at least 3 goals or by a greater margin than Korea Republic. Group winner will be: Argentina if they lose by 1 or 2 goals and the combined margin is less than 5; Korea Republic if they win by a greater margin than Greece and the combined margin is at least 6; Greece if they win by at least 3 goals and by a greater margin than Korea Republic. Greece and Argentina cannot finish even with each other on goal difference. Korea Republic can finish even on points and goal difference with either Argentina or Greece: (a) with Argentina if the combined margin is exactly 5 goals; for 1st if Argentina lose by 1 or 2 goals, for runner-up if Argentina lose by 3 or 4 goals. Korea republic must score at least 3 goals more than Argentina to hold the tiebreak advantage. (b) with Greece if they win by the same margin; for 1st if they win by at least 3 goals, for runner-up if they win by 1 or 2 goals. Greece must score at least 2 goals more than Korea Republic to hold the tiebreak advantage.

SEMTEX
Greece have to win by 1 more than SK, or score at least 2 more goals than SK and win by the same margin of goals. I think. edit - fuck that, read PMs version
