Lets just start searching allover europe and the world for players that arent english but have granparents and all that malarky which will qual them to be england players...

Afterall thats what the germans have done!

I think the F.A. has a rule that doesn't allow us to do that.

Either way, facepalm.

Think Gerry Francis has made a very good and valid point on SSN just there. Argentina, Spain, Italy, Germany, etc. for major Under 20s, Youth tournaments, etc always name their strongest players even if they are established players. Would it have done Rooney any harm to play in one or two Euro U21 competitions over the years to gain valuable tournament experience? He had a summer off in 2008, pretty sure he was eligible (like Milner) for 2009 so could have went there.

nice to see someone rated Gosling highly enough to include him before[/b] it was announced we were supposedly signing him

lets see - they only look at PL players and there are no English players overseas so that's 19X 20 = 380 first team squad in total

say 50% are English = 190 possibles

take away the idiots, thugs and proven losers = 150 left

30-40 are probably too old for the next world cup

so you have 100-110 to chose from - not brilliant but even so...............

A few players whinged about boredom, getting used to tournaments early on in their careers will help them. I thought what Mesut Ozil said brilliant "if you find the greatest tournament on earth boring, then you probably shouldn't be there."

Özil is the new Zlatan. Same Balkanic face, fun comebacks, same tricks:

A goal every 8.2 games. Well done Emile.

Would you say 9 in 59 games was a comical amount?

Is his record not 7 in 62 international games?

F***ing pathetic. Should be nowhere near the squad. Andy Carroll would even get more than that.

That'll be right, 8.8, even worse!
