As if Shelvey's tackle was anything other than red.

Two-footed, in the air, late, didn't get the ball, got the man, dangerous, and finished with a scissor.

Welcome to Liverpool

Indeed. This is man with no previous connections to Liverpool, and he's come in and is calling it like it is. We've been getting shafted for years. You can hear the tone in that piece. I think Rodgers is genuinely quite dumbstruck at just how bad it is.

He has worked at a big club before and knows that big clubs usually get things go their way . . . . . .unless you're Liverpool.

There's something rotten at the FA. They clearly don't like us, and haven't for ages. They've been happily doing Ferguson's bidding against us for years. It's so obvious it's not even surprising anymore. I mean, the night before the game he practically asked for a penalty at Anfield and f***ing got one!

There are so many blatant cases. The Shelvey red/Mulumbu non-red are just the latest in a long line. If the decision can be interpreted either way by the ref, then it'll normally go against us.

Lord knows how much it's cost us over the years.

It's time for a big shake up in officiating. Video refs, goal line tech, the lot. No team should get f***ed over like we did last Sunday.

Halsey could have potentially given Man Utd the league there when it comes to the shake up.

What makes it all the more bizarre is that most other fans regard liverpool as one of the jammiest clubs in history in terms of getting their own way on the pitch.

That's really interesting. There was another statistical analysis (on More or Less, I think) that said there was *no* Man Utd bias, but I think that was only penalties.

At any rate, I'd like to see those rates compared to those for LFC and Arsenal: it appears that referees, like other people, are unconsciously biased towards teams/competitors in red.

I think ref's usually have to make many more decision for or against Man Utd as they have more of the ball than most teams. Have no idea how that affects things one way or the other.

Tbf to Liverpool (hate saying that) they haven't had the rub of the green at all so far this season. But in Suarez's case that's his own fault 100%. Boy has cried wolf and cheated so many times that its no surprise he gets less decisions.

And he's STILL cheating and working his ticket every game. If I was a ref I'd give him nowt either.  I'd buy into Jonas's 'antics' 100% though.

I don't really think there's any grand conspiracy for Man U as Liverpool fans think at times, it's more I suppose an even subliminal fear of not giving man u a penalty or some such call is greater than fear of giving wigan one.

And most importantly is how much Ferguson has his players surroudn the ref screaming for every decision, which is a disgrace
