Hatem Ben Arfa

To be fair to the lad, once you have been injured like he was after a tackle he endured, you are surely going to have demons floating around in your head.  It probably felt worse than it was - hopefully.

Sure he will be okay and hopefully be alright for the Arsenal game.

He's starting to look like as big a liability as Marcelino was. How long now before the rank and file turn?

All you can do is laugh at this. Such a stupid post if serious and a really poor attempt at WUM if not

Only twitter but Jose Enrique says "Ben Arfa, I think is OK.". Phew, that's alright then.

Where is this ''demon'' talk coming from?

Last night Ryder said Pardew wanted to use him again on the US tour.

He said he was in the ambulance. Then he wasn't in the ambulance. Then he was in the ambulance.

Then he's fine and there's nothing to worry about & now he's been flown home 5000 miles.

Ryder really is a gash journo

They're only out there for another week or so anyway, a twisted ankle takes a couple of weeks at least to recover from. There's no point keeping him out there when he'd probably be better off at home. Don't think him flying home is an ominously bad sign.

Pardew mentions it in his interview after the game!

To be honest it might do him good to take a slight knock - mentally - in the sense it's a twisted ankle and not a double broken leg.

Might help psychologically

If his cards being marked on a pre-season tour of the US what's it going to be like in the PL. Might as well have me finger nails pulled out now.

Reading the Kansas message boards it seems as though the guy who done it is renowed for being a shite tackler. Dont think its a case of 'his card being marked'

Was wondering that too, could help in the long run if he gets over this quickly.

If the injury has reduced his ability even by 1% then they've done the right thing in bringing him home until he's back at 100%, just not worth the risk trying to keep on playing. Same goes for other key players

From .com, it seems that Pardew's initial reaction was that Ben Arfa could continue on the tour. It sounds like it's the player who wanted to play safe and go home.

It must be hard for a young player who's been out for a long time, but in these situations it's best to get back on your bike asap. Otherwise you'll develop a mental block.

Being a professional footballer - particularly one like him who's a threat to the opposition - means you're going to get hurt. There's no avoiding it.

can imagine there'll be a synchronized wankfest going on in wearside at the moment

I wouldn't have thought so, they've got far too much dignity and class to do things like that remember
