duo
Thought Tiote was excellent today - second half was the type of match to suit him perfectly and I don't think we would've got that point without him. Played to his strengths - formation suited him.
Kanji
Man if only he made that pass to Hatem when he made that excellent tackle in the middle of the park... Thought the captain's armband suited him today, he was shouting about - looked a real leader out there.
binnsy
thats more like it for Tiote, he was really good today and back to what he does best. Gave a proper captains performance
durhamunigeordie
Was good to see him back today. If being overly critical there was just that very poor pass that led to him going down injured, the sending off etc.

Big fanny unhurt play acting w*** turd of the modern footballer. A lot of them do it now I think it's even worse when he is a hardman himself. Really gets on my nerves, when I saw the replay of him sitting there I actually screamed in anger.

Hardman my arse like, Vinnie Jones had it spot on when he said the hardmen are the Steve Bruce types. From a while back but pretty much spot on for me too. Darth Crooks
The likes of Duncan Ferguson and Big Al are the only real 'hardmen' of note I can immediately think of. David Batty and Andy Griffin were no ponces either. Fouling people, being a cunt and tackles about qualifies you in football to be hard.
Ronaldo
Shearer was/is no hardman, like. Ferguson was.

Ronaldo
Who cares? Hardmen cost you games. Wannabe hardmen certainly do. Ferguson was admittedly an utter nutcase at times, like.
Darth Crooks
Who cares? Hardmen cost you games. Well quite. I still contest Alan Shearer was/is canny hard. Certainly looked a handful physically.
Guest bimpy474
In football i regard hardmen as those who dished it out and took it, not how hard they were in a fight.
Ronaldo
In football i regard hardmen as those who dished it out and took it, not how hard they were in a fight. That's about right.
Darth Crooks
The stuff centre halves used to do against shearer was mental and he repaid that physicality. Very effective. Don't condone elbows/kicks to the head mind.
basjen
In football i regard hardmen as those who dished it out and took it, not how hard they were in a fight. Agreed. Tiote definitely dishes, but takes it like a primadonna. It's embarassing.

merlin
Tiote was excellent today - were it not for Cabaye he would have been our MoM. Never doubted this lad's ability after I saw him make his debut against Everton but he has been going through a really bad spell...I reckon that some change in the coaching responsibility has led to a different style of play which suits him far better because there is now more movement from players around him and he has more simple passing options when he wins the ball. Ronaldo
Can I suggest that you all wait till he's put in a good performance in a game which doesn't suit his limited strengths perfectly, not to mention not being an idiot and contributing to us conceding?
