Probably been mentioned, but wasn't Jonas one of the players Barton said 'would be next' (to leave) along with him and Jose?

:iamatwat:

Fucking great stuff. If more for the fact that it shows we are willing to offer players new deals that they might actually sign, if anything

Aye, also suggests that the problem with Nolan and Barton's contract talks were more to do with their respective demands, not so much the length of deal for their age.

Great news, kind of puts Joey Bartons parting comments out the window when he said that we'd be selling the 2 Argentines in the next window. We just need to nail the captain down now, does anyone know how long he's got left on his pricey contract?

Just under another 2 years for Colo... June 2013.

Hopefully Jonas signing a new deal will help with negotiations with Colo, as/when they happen.

Gerrin, I love Jonas like.

Wasn't Ryder claiming yesterday he was up for sale or some shite? Joke of a journalist that bloke (unless this is just to protect or enhance his value, then he's just a shit, fat, bald, sycophantic reporter).

I love Jonas tbh, spiderman celebrations are the tip of a wonderful Argentine iceberg...even if he was on mental wages, id still keep him for the hell of it, its the opposite of Smith, who even if he gave teh club money id still want away from the club...

He is. Lets not fool ourselves. I agree with his professionalism, work rate and fitness though. And he is an above average dribbler/carrier of the ball (as pure dribbling, none efficiency involved @ assist/goal)
