merlin
Biggest successes have been Zola and Di Canio(who seemed almost made for the madhouse that English football can be!). Both deservedly highly rated. Vialli was also very good,Ravanelli too but not here long. Little reason for then to play here, esp now - 50% Tax now limits PL earnings and most of the best ones now play for the top clubs in Milan or Turin ; both fashionable cities with better climate. LucaAltieri
After being in Italy recently it would take a massive amount for me to leave if I'd been born there. A fantastic country, history, climate, awesome place. Likewise. Would love to move there one day. Fourthed, amazing country. Kicks the arse of France and Spain. Nah, stating the obvious but your holiday in Italy isn't the same as living in Italia. Two very different worlds. Incredibly frustrating place to live. Too much bureaucracy, corruption, and negativity. As an example; think English estate agents are scum? Try renting a house in Italy. You can kiss goodbye to your deposit the moment it leaves your pocket. You're never seeing it again. Amusing roguish behaviour from the outside... massive pain in the arse to live it. Village Idiot
I have family in Italy and for the life of me I wouldn't ever want to live there. As Luca says, incredibly beautiful place but very frustrating to live in.

relámpago blanco
Pistone was half decent, other than that I can't remember a decent one we've had.
Broadsword
Pistone was a pile of crap. Hated him towards the end of his stay with us.
merlin
No way is Turin a "fashionable city". Both Turin and Milan have excellent shops and a relatively prosperous population compared to Southern Italy. In any case, not too many of their players want to come to England, do they..!? joeyt
There's been quite a few Italian managers though. Capello and Mancini obviously being on a lot of dosh but also Di Matteo, Zola, Gradi, Vialli etc
Guest
Pistone was a pile of crap. Hated him towards the end of his stay with us. That was probably his best spell for us when Bobby played brought him back in and his form got us our money back on him from Everton.
Parky
Italian football has always been an in house affair, and during the 90s many considered the best league in Football. Think there's a fear that if they left Italy they'd be overlooked for the national team and become outcasts (as used to happen in Holland). Quite boring now Italian football, prefer Spanish and PL. Guest
Yeah just can't watch Serie A. Tried looking forward to try and enjoy Napoli v Sampdoria last night given their history in the 80s and 90s but just couldn't get into it and watched Malaga v Sevilla instead. Guest
That doesn't look like Colo at all. It really looks like some nondescript Serbian midfielder. Racist.
