but aye, the ridiculous night-before-christmas excitement of being a youngun seeing all these names in the youth getting hyped up. aside from the above, crawford, stuart elliott, drysdale. i guess huckerby is the only one who can kind of be counted as one who got away, never would have been near the top level but had a good enough career.

 

saying that i'm not sure it's entirely a thing of childishness, given i had the same thoughts about bigirimana, abeid, kemen, situ, vuckic, satka, kadar. guess the latter two managed a servicable career at least.
