It is a shame what has happenned to Cole as before the later Chelsea years he was one of the better performers for England.

If a player goes to Chelsea, they seem to leave a much worse player.

Bridge is a good shout. There is some stat about his West Ham debut re him being at fault for all of Arsenal's goals, attempting something like 9 passes none of which were successful. 90K a week well earned.

The last few mentioned are all good calls. Ramires, too. Absolute shower of shite.

Aye. Been very poor. Doesn't even appear to be a player who looks to have a speciality that you could see him using if he improved. He seems to be astoundingly mediocre at all the attributes needed to be a top midfielder or at least has been this season.

He looks like a weaker, slower-footed version of the fella in your avatar. Better ability on the ball, obvioiusly, but needs far too much time on it.

Just goes to show, Big Carlo signing Ramires, SAF bringing in Bebe; they're all human.

Ramires has been playing much better of late. Sure, still nowhere near being worth the price that was paid for him, but to say he's been one of the worst in the Premiership when there have been players like Perch is ridiculous.

S'all relative to expectation though, Perch cost a 10th+ of the price of Ramires.

Ramires has come no closer to fulfilling his job description than Perch has to his. I'm not saying Ramires isn't the better player, clearly, but he's been every bit as woeful. Creative players who don't create will never be held up to the same scrutiny as defenders who don't defend well.

I was under the impression that Ramires was initially signed as more of a holding midfielder type, but having seen him I wouldn't have a clue what his 'specialist role' is, so I agree with you entirely on that, and that he hasn't been worth his price tag, which I mentioned before. My point was just that he hasn't been one of the worst players in the premiership, which he hasn't. Worst in terms of value, possibly, but not one of the worst overall.

Ramires is a player known for his engine, he's not creative he'll just run all day. Not sure why Carlo signed him to be fair as the Premiership has moved on from players like that.
