collymores going off on one with this potential deal even said should go for ac9 instead for 20m

rather funny  to listen to

In case you missed it.

He makes good points about Bent but he sounds really deluded when he talks about Villa.

A Villa fan was on before and replied to Collymore's comment on resale value (was either about Keane having none or Bent having little) that they bought him for £7m and the only way they could get rid of him was to give him to Leicester.  bluelaugh.gif

It may be that he doesn't go in this window and some PR face saving statement will be made before he departs in the summer.

However the seeds have been sown and his failure to see it through on Wearside will cast doubts in some of the other players minds as well as being a significant deterent for anyone else they try to bring in.

Not looking good for their future plans right now.

Doubt it, bid accepted and in Birmingham now, much further down the line than Rooney or Tevez

Thanks, stand corrected.

Stand by rest of post after 1st line though.

I think this will unfortunately be good for them. Bent is a good player but 18 million plus add ons is a lot, there are bargains out there maybe Bruce has his sights set on some one better than Bent or as good as for relatively cheap, hopefully this player will turn out to be truly awful.

Hopefully the player will turn out to be Michael Owen.

I'd wet myself with laughter if they spunked all the Bent money on keeping that fraud in racehorses and ibuprofen for the next 3 or 4 years.
