It's pure luck on Blackpool's part because they didn't reject the bid. In fact they accepted the bid so it's lucky for them that we're so bad in conducting transfer deals. That would be 300 grand a game for the rest of the season to Bolton. The fee for Carroll is in "acceptable" territory, but not replacing him (or even just getting in a backup since he's injured) is incompetent again. With Ireland, it means the last three players we've signed have all been injured at the time. Only positive is that Jose, Barton, and Tiote didn't go. There's no way we'd get their true value.
