The designs were class.  The quality?  Those early batches were terrible :) - my blue star home shirt that I got at the end of 92/93 was clicked to buggery within weeks

They fixed the issue later so that the blue away and green third kit tops I had didn’t click at all

Agree - great design, terrible quality.  I managed to get hold of mine the day before official release from a small sports shop at the bottom of Clayton Street and it had about 3 clicks in it by the end of the first night.

Bloody hell. 33 years ago yesterday.

Wasn't there sadly but remember listening to it on the radio so clearly.

I come from Grimsby, was living in Cleethorpes at the time and met Terry Mac and King Kev window shopping on the sea front. Little did I know at the time a few years later I would be invited to St James’ and the love affair would begin [emoji38]

Killa was never really as hard as his appearance or the myth would have you believe.

Kenny Wharton and David Batty for example, though about half his size, really were

I like Cleethorpes, had a few weekend drinkies down there. Probably 12 years since I’ve been so don’t know what it’s like nowadays. Lovely coastline.

Yeah I did love the view out to the North Sea. Little did I know at the time that I would be supporting Newcastle and working offshore North Sea. Funny old life.

One summer I went to Cleethorpes to visit my Aunty and got chased off some local kids at the BMX track because they wanted to rob my bike.

A colloquialism is an informal word, phrase, or expression used in casual, everyday conversation rather than in formal speech or writing. It represents conversational, relaxed language (like "y'all," "gonna," or "buddy") often specific to a region or culture.
