Dokko
West Ham just need to hang on to everyone under 25 and sell/release the rest and they'll be alright. Got some decent talent in their ranks, a season in the Championship playing together will do them a world of good. Stanislas, Spence, Tomkins, Hines, Noble, Berrera, Spector, DaCosta & Collinson, while Sears is useful at CCC level. Couple of loan signings from the prem, they'll hardly have to spend much to get back up with a decent manager, just depends on how they want to play it, my guess is they'll get it all wrong and try to hang on to overpaid shite just to keep up appearances. Blackpool need to attract one or two quality CCC players, young and highly rated to keep the profile of the club up, if not they'll end up never seeing the Premiership again. Nobody
West Ham and Blackpool are fucked. Brum, if they've any sense, will ditch Europe and focus on the league. However, Europe might be what keeps their players there
Chris_R
Really can't see West Ham coming back up. They're managerless and probably can't attract a decent manager now, and their players are all old, on massive contracts and not half as good as the London press have been keen to make out, hence their league position. I imagine they'll have to sell a hell of a lot of players this summer and if they do that, they'll not finish in the top 6. Blackpool's key is keeping Holloway, if he stays then they've been prudent with their spending and have their parachute payments so could actually have more money than most to spend in the Championship. Depends on who comes and goes there but they could well finish top 6 and have another shot at getting back in the PL. Birmingham have an old, expensive squad and although they're in Europe, they could well struggle and finish mid-table.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Roger Johnson and Scott Dann seem to be rated by everyone? if their so good how come they've been relegated? Solid and reliable but not much better than Williamson or Saylor.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
West Ham's 'core' players are absolute dogshite. They'll stay where they are. They make it so easy for teams to play against them. Their performance against Sunderland was absolutely embarrassing. Plenty of Championship sides came to SJP and gave us a tougher job, they deserve to be down. Neil
The long-term injury to Dann was a key reason in their relegation. Johnson hasn't looked the same since his defensive partner got crocked.

West Ham and Birmingham are going to run into some serious financial problems in the next year. Birmingham have required cash injections from their owners (who aren't as rich as they originally led people to believe) to keep going whilst in the Premiership. Even with Europa Cup money they're going to require a huge amount of additional funding from somewhere next year and there's no guarantee that the owner is going to be able to find that cash. West Ham are in a similar situation but with higher debts, higher wages and no Europa Cup football. Blackpool are the best placed of the teams financially, they've not overspent to try and stay in the Premiership and can probably afford to invest in a few new faces in the summer. powellnufc
Roger Johnson and Scott Dann seem to be rated by everyone? if their so good how come they've been relegated? Cause they couldn't score for s***, hasn't Jerome gone on something like a 20+ game goal drought and he has been there main striker
bodson
Players from the relegated teams Definately worth signing: Charlie Adam Roger Johnson Maybe worth a gamble Demba Ba Sebastian Larsson (If he could be turned into more of a right back it could be great) Thats it
St James
Crainey no, but Vaughan would be a good squad player. Both decent players. Vaughan voted Blackpool's player of the season over Adam by the supporters. Was the best player on the pitch against ManU.

There's no point beating round the bush they A cannot afford him and B he wants to stay in the England team and that means Premiership football. Didn't FSA sell him from Newcastle anyway? Ryan_Taylor
Hmm, no one other than the promoted teams is going to be clamoring for players that just went down. Cant imagine they're much more than 2nd or 3rd choices for most clubs. With the odd exception

Dokko
Just got me thinking that's all, and comparing it with our movement. You'd have thought early moves by us and relegated teams would make sense but for very different reasons. The market is yet to kick in I agree but apart from the odd international there's nowt much to hold back bids. Reckon it could be a busy couple of weeks coming up.
