Problem with Villa is that his fitness has declined drastically after his year-long injury, coupled with age. He's not a player that you can start both the weekend and then midweek CL ties. He usually was winded at around min 60 in any demanding fixture this year. Other than that, he's still an excellent player. We can't afford to sink £5m on a 30 year old and not see a penny of the fee back. Heard he's going to be on 40/50k a week too. What I said from the very moment we were linked with him.
