Wullie
Put it this way I'd much rather have Pratley coming in for Tiote or Nolan than Smith or Guthrie. Even though Guthrie was excellent (i.e. better than Pratley) in the Championship and has done well enough since the West Brom game when required? I should of qualified what I said. I meant more so Tiote than Nolan, given a midfield pairing of the latter and Guthrie is an accident waiting to happen. He has a much better engine than Guthrie although Guthrie probably has a much better passing range, different types of players really. If Tiote was suspended I'd definetly pair Nolan with Pratley though. Fair enough, though I think Guthrie's done ok partnering Nolan of late - against sunderland, Wolves, Spurs, you couldn't pick fault with him. If he'd stayed on against West Brom and Smith hadn't been introduced we'd probably have won the game because he was keeping the ball really well. Gets a lot of unfair stick imo. As we are at the moment, he is a good player to have in reserve.
Wullie
Why do some people assume any player they don't know must be good? Do they? I've seen plenty examples of "Never heard of him therefore he must be shit". The other people who admit to not knowing a player we're linked to tend to say something along the lines of "Never heard of him. Is he any good?". Usual drill whenever we're linked to some striker from Europe is to say "So-and-so!? " even though knowledge of the player starts and ends on a computer game. I was being facetious tbh, I always doubt the people who claim to have watched players in random foreign lower leagues. Are there any examples in this thread btw? The people who've said he is shit seem pretty sure they've heard of him.

One word reviews like "crap" and "shit" don't really indicate if the poster knows of the player or are just saying that because they haven't heard of the player. Guest bimpy474
I watch every single game i can, i love all footy and i will watch any game thats on.............but even if i watch every game from the championship thats shown on the TV, i may only see players like Pratley 4 or 5 times, it not enough to make a proper judgement, to make a real judgement on him you really need to be a Swansea fan who's watched every game of theirs. Most of us are making our decisions on one game or just because he plays in the championship or for a smaller club, we can make calls on our players, on players for teams like Man.Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc as there all on TV so much we can have a 10 to 20 game judgements on a player from their teams, but players like Pratley..............we just haven't seen enough. Guest Recoba
Mostly only seen goals on the football league show. Seems reasonable considering we will loose Tiote to ACN. Though if we follow this up with Bothroyd and Puncheon I'll be less than impressed...
