Otherwise you'd be looking at any striker who scores more than 10 goals in a season being worth £35m cos that's what Liverpool paid for Carroll. Man United paid that much due to the combination of a clause and desperation. Is Cabaye better than Fellaini? On this form, yes. First bid we get over £15m and his agent and Cabaye will be agitating for a move. I don't think we have much bargaining power unless we finish top 4 and invest in the summer. On the contrary we kept hold of him in august because our valuation wasn't met and it will be exactly the same in January. He's our player we set the asking price, if he doesn't like it too bad.
