Credit where it's due, Pardew got it spot on today.

Yep. It's all about results, and that was a corker. Cheers!

Usual dodgy match report from the BBC.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/14514549.stm

just as it looked as though a Sunderland goal may come, the tide was stemmed by a moment of controversy on 15 minutes.

From a corner Barton nodded Ameobi's flick towards goal and it struck Larsson's arm just as it was heading for the top of the net.

The Swede didn't look like he knew much about it, but replays justified Barton's sense of frustration and despite appeals from Newcastle's players to Webb and his assistant, the end result was a corner.

Bullshit. Why is his arm sticking straight out then?

While Bardsley's sending off was probably deserved, it served as a footnote and capped a frustrating afternoon for Sunderland.

Probably? Try definitely!

Coloccini is a god. He's the best defender I've ever seen at the club when considering his impact on the team and his fitness record.

Agree wholeheartedly . How he withstood that challenge - with no visible effects - is beyond me.

MOTM.

His arm was out because he was leaning against the post tbh. Still a blatant handball/pen/red like.
