It should have been three games ago, but we got seven points, so I'll file it under no harm, no foul. We need full backs who can attack. i was never to convinved with PVA. also it's not so much that we need full backs who can attack but are comfortable in possession aswell as being strong and able defensivly. While I'm delighted with Santon and hopeful he will prove to be really good for us, he's going to have to go some to match the level Enrique has been playing at for the past two seasons. I can't complain too much if that's our business done at full-back, but I did have hopes of improving on the right-back area this summer. just a little note on this, maybe it's just me but with enrique not being there, jonas seems like he is much more attacking and better for it, not cominmg back to enrique to play 2yard passes between each other on the half way line. maybe just something in the way the games have broke so far but possibly worth watching over the coming weeks. He can play LB and in the centre so he could provide the centre back cover we need at this time and switched to lb with Santos on the right afterwards. Never been very sure of the lad (backing off etc. etc) but very happy with giving Simpson another year in the first team to see if he can progress. /and certainly shouldn't be judged harshly on the first few games considering what he's been through. /just need a striker I can be confident in.
