Skysports.com understands Newcastle starlet Brandon Miele has signed professional terms with the club.

 

The highly-rated midfielder has penned his first professional contract with the club after turning 17.

 

Miele joined Newcastle in the summer of 2010 from Irish side Cherry Orchard and he has impressed since his arrival on Tyneside.

 

The Republic of Ireland Under 17 international made his reserve-team debut at the age of 16 last season and he established himself in the reserves and youth teams.

 

Miele is highly-regarded within the corridors of St James' Park and the club were keen to reward him for his progress with his first pro deal keeping him at the club until 2014.

Without actually reading this thread, I'm going to choose to believe that you pronounce his last name with a French accent, and that he is in fact a highly rated, skillful left back from Stade de Camembert with a glittering CV and a handful of successful appearances for the French U-21s.
