madras
Obviously more people will remember Leighton James but Dave Thomas made the England team and all without shin pads.
Cronky
I don't remember either of them as world-beaters. I think I'd go for Leighton James as the more skilful of the two. He had this Chrissy Waddle trick of moving inside and shooting with his left foot. I'm not sure that he had much else but IIRC it was quite effective for a while. It's a strange question for an NUFC forum. What prompted it?

Stu
Only ever seen youtube clips of Leighton James but didn't he spend time out of the game due to a misunderstanding with the long arm of the law?

Big Geordie
I'll ask Ray Hankin if I see him on Thurs.
Incognito
Dave Thomas was better at QPR. So for Burnley I'd plump for James. Martin Dobson and Peter Noble were the engine room in that Burnley side with Kindon up front and Ray Hankin as big Geordie says.

SEMTEX
Chris Eagles? That's the only example I can give of a Burnley winger.
