thorin
A thought just arrived; if Fat Mike wanna break bank, he should buy us Rodriguez from Porto
Mole_Toonfan
Ince De Jong Mbiwa Sissokho Would be perfect. between Sissokho and De Jong we would get what we have been sorely missing through the centre. Still think we are weak up front though. But could limp on with that. The plus point of the past 48 hours is that I am so dejected now signing anyone would be a f***ing glorious surprise. If we did buy De Jong i think we would drop our interest in Sissoko tbh.... i know their positions are different but if we did buy De Jong he would likely play AM thus Cabaye dropping back to CM and Tiote or Anita as DM so it would directly effect him. Can't see us having Cabaye, Sissoko, Anita and Tiote for 2 positions, although if Tiote did get sold then its different. There's been lots of talk about looking at 3-4 players i personally would love it if those players are Ince, De Jong, That french LB and a CB, would never happen though. thorin
Can you explain the reason to get in another friggin wingback instead of a striker? I really don't see it. Actually I'd prefer another CB instead of a wingback. We have several players to cover that position when they return, Simpson, Raylor, Anita, Saylor, Perch, Ferguson, JONAS and whatnot. Oh, and true story, we ain't signing noone!! If we're as desperate as everyone thinks, why aren't we just bidding for every possible target in the proper position? We shoulda made mayhem by now... Incognito
Ince is available for £6m, I'd rather we took a gamble on him than looking at Gomis. Pardew was at Blackpool tonight. Someone needs to tell him that Marlon Harewood has moved on... Giving Simpson a run on the beach.

merlin
Can't see how we could get Ince tbh. Surely Liverpool would just do what QPR have done to us with Remy? Exactly - it will happen regularly.
olliemort
This is f***ing ridiculous we are in this mess. Why sign f***ing players half way through the season.Imo a lot of players would have jumped to sign for us in the summer compared to now

Mole_Toonfan
Gomis is not really the one i want as it means 4-4-2 and long ball for the foreseeable future but at least unlike Ba.... Gomis can make the ball stick and bring others into the game while being faster than Ba so he could make hoofball effective. But in the situation we find ourselves in beggars can't be choosers. KaKa
Well, if we're going to play the long ball then we might as well have someone who can win the ball up top ... We really just need to be more effective regardless of the style of play. Utilising the wings would be really important if we go 4-4-2. Debuchy will help, but we really need improved wing play for someone other than Ben Arfa too.

Aye if nothing else he would make us effective at that style, he's a poor mans Drogba basically its just not really the type i wanted us to go for. But if we do want long ball then he would make us effective as he's very strong, quick and dominate aerially. Anyway we will see.
Pata
I have never seen Gomis have a good game. Not seen much but has looked like a younger Shola with a broken hip. 10 million euros seems way too much.
