Guest neesy111
Reduced losses for the mackems, obviously that does include the 44M they got for D. Bent and Henderson, so they are not certainly in great financial health.
jdckelly
operating loss of 31m, expenses of over 100m that doesn't make good reading for them
Fenham Mag
Well we can safely say we are the FNETD this season.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
you all laugh and mock, but what you're forgetting is that if you're going to sack a manager, then replace him with absolute quality like MON, then you're going to have to be prepared to break the bank. Also, you're forgetting last summer's transfer window, which they set alight. Also, if you're as committed to getting the young 'uns in, then you have to be prepared again to operate at a loss, sacrificing matchday revenue in order to indoctrinate the next generation of scruffy little urchins with the mackem philosophy that comes with supporting sunderland. Even though its a loss, what they've achieved has simply shown that they have more class. EDIT: Micky Horseshit, if you read this, and when you try to peddle it on-air tonight as an excuse, please acknowledge your source.
bhoywhonder
It's the mackem myth machine man, they do it all time. Say something often enough round those parts and it becomes fact and eventually stuff of legend. All the F*cking time. Its not just about the team, its any swivel-eyed conspiracy theory they pluck out of thin air. A favourite is to blame the city's midden-like conditions on perceived Tyneside-bias by some shadowy controlling group. Take this beauty: "Now I'm sure that our stadium of light was banned for 10 years From staging live stadium gigs in order for the telewest arena In skunkland to be built . Is that right ??" http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=686264#ixzz1qJHU4Bhd By page two they're all utterly convinced it's true despite no evidence whatsoever (and conveniently ignoring the fact the Arena was built two years before). Fenham Mag
Who would people have out of Shane Ferguson and James McClean , totally unbiased but based on potential and not what you rather have now?
jdckelly
honestly don't know, I like the look of Fergie but its all potential atm while McClean could be said to be more ready now but is he just a 1 trick pony who could be found out
Guest neesy111
Who would people have out of Shane Ferguson and James McClean , totally unbiased but based on potential and not what you rather have now? Now McClean, but to make final judgement then need to see more of Fergie to see if he develops or not.
Fenham Mag
Fergie to me, is a bit like Jonas with his workrate and he is quite skillful. I wouldn't mind them moulding him in to a Jonas clone.
Varadi
So they sold Bent and Henderson for over 40 million and still made a loss? That can't be good....

Benwell Lad
Anyone know why the court hearing for their club captain's criminal damage charge, for vandalising ordinary working people's cars, keeps being adjourned ?
Guest BooBoo
One was cautioned and the case dropped against the other. Twas Bendtner with the caution iirc.
Varadi
Also noteworthy that they've sneaked the financial results on out the same day they have a big cup game - trying to bury the bad news...
mrmojorisin75
By page two they're all utterly convinced it's true despite no evidence whatsoever (and conveniently ignoring the fact the Arena was built two years before). there's something to this mindset in them like, i've recently come across the "your club was born in 1992" concrete argument about crowds (every mag says you've always had big crowds) and lest we forget the class argument, as far as i can tell the classy thing is only in existence 'cause they've deemed it so
Guest johnson293
I hope they get beat tonight, so their season can fizzle out. Part of me hopes they'd get a hiding, but then again, it would also be nice for them to go out on 'Pelanties'.

Don't think so, case against Cattermole was adjourned again. Perhaps multi-millionaire Sunderland footballers face a different judicial system to the deprived teenage charvers such behaviour is normally associated with ? The defeat to Millwall was hilarious. Nah, they'll claim that as some sort of prize, that they have played at the new Wembley. It'll become a new standard retort behind 9-1, and FTM. Half of them are already making tin foil trophies ready for May.

Hanshithispantz
I want them cunts no where near wembley, like. I think they will win tonight though and I'll be hearing about them getting to an FA Cup Semi-Final for the next 20 year.

Dr. Nguyen Van Falk
The thread on their financial results is hilarious. 'Another reason to believe that Niall done his job! and Ellis is taking forward! Well done SAFC and of course thanks again Niall!' This and saying their results are similar to ours are my particular favourites.
