Anderson
Their stadium's fucking pathetic man, you'd never guess it's just 15 years old. It reflects the bargain basement budget it was built on, surely one of the worst modern stadiums around.

Kimbo
http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=712981 I suppose from their point of view we are level on points, so Sunderland = Newcastle. Fans are always like this at this stage though, we'll see their confidence battered over the season as the world class legend Martin O'Neill buys more average UK based players and subjects them to hour after hour of hoofball. I'm not one to defend MON, but the hoofball thing is very unfair. We never played that under him, certainly no more than other clubs resort to it. What he played was endless balls in from the wing, which whilst not beeing hoofball per se, isn't that different, because balls whipped in from the wing are also a percentages game. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
the stadium argument player won't sign for us because our stadium is shit and has shit views. Forgive me if I'm wrong but won't Debuchy be on the pitch, not up in the gods of Level 7?
Hanshithispantz
Jesus Christ, I thought the stadium shite was just one nutter trying to make himself feel better, but apparently not. I don't know what the fuck that AnyOBrien lad is on about either And yes I beleive our stadium is better for ehat it's worth. Not because it's anything spectacular but compared to SoL it is better It's one of the most iconic stadiums in English football ffs

madras
they have to keep searching for something to better us at, on the pitch didn't work, the league table didn't so then it became the classy club, that was proven to be shite so it moved onto nufc's racist fans, that fell by the wayside when honest mackems fessed up to call the likes of masterplan (wireside) for denying it had been as bad at sunderland and was still a problem so the search continues. pretty sure it'll end up with then claiming victory because their shirts are redder than ours. sleazy
nah, our away shirt is at least 90% red whereas their home shirt is only 50%
Dr. Nguyen Van Falk
Madras has it spot on, they're desperate for something that allows them to laud it over us in some way. And their views of MON are superb, you'd think he managed the early 90's Milan side the way they go on!

angrypirate71
These are the people who believe their capture of McLean proves their scouting network to be better than ours. Also that the SoS has a better atmosphere when full, ignoring the facts that :- a) it rarely is b) it's us creating said atmosphere. That Debuchy thread keeps dropping gem after gem but there's just no point arguing with such utter mongmanship.
bhoywhonder
Reading that “my ground’s dad is bigger than your ground’s dad” nonsense is hilarious! One poster has brought up the old "Haway then, which other ground is called the Stadium of Light?” clutching the straw that it isn’t what Benfica’s ground is officially called, and that ‘Stadium of Light’ is a mistranslation. Lets just reflect on this – Drab unfashionable club in drab unfashionable town builds cheap flat-pack identikit bowl on industrial waste ground and calls it ‘The Stadium of Light”. It’s like putting up a breeze-block makeshift church and calling it ‘The Vatican’. I still to this day can't get my head round their thinking when they decided the name. It really does beg belief just how deluded some of Sunderland's supporters are. Their squad is no where near to being equal to ours. Half of our players could arguably play for a champions league team: Krul, Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Cisse, Ba, Coloccini maybe even Santon. How many of Sunderland's players could you see a Major champions league team coming in for apart from Sessegnon?

Guest BooBoo
Some of the mackems simply can't handle the fact that despite our relegation three years back, we've shot past them, amassed a better team/squad and qualified for Europe again. This despite the fact that "Agent Ashley" is in charge whilst they've had Saint Niall and the supposedly great owner Ellis Short. Some of the bitter jealousy is incredible.
