Benwell Lad
I got laughed at for suggesting O'Neill would be sacked by christmas , starting to look more likely by the week. Yes, every inch of last season's 20 point difference and just how far they've gone back in the last couple of years while we've moved forward was plain to see on Sunday. Benwell Lad
They won't sack. They know he's probably the best manager they could attract. They won't get rid but wouldn't be at all surprised if he walks before end of season. He just doesn't look or sound happy despite the blarney. They're playing the worst football in the PL and looks like he's wasted a fortune on a dud in Johnson. Not a lot of positives in marty world right now. Guest El Caliente
Something I just picked up from Oyvind Alsaker, Premier League expert for TV2 Norway: "These are two cities with a much different destiny. In Newcastle, you have money and it is a well functioning place with quite a great city centre. They have concert halls and beautiful buildings of cultural value. But in Sunderland, they are stuck. There is not really anything going on, they are falling behind and it is a region with a heavy rate of unemployment and lots of struggles”. I apologize in case of bad translation, as English is not my native language
