Any one reckon he has a clause? Don't think any one in the media was aware of Cabaye's clause before we exploited it.

Surely they wouldnt be stupid enough to be f*cked over twice?

Might be how they built their team in the first place. Giving the players more power to move on later.

Who else could he mean?

Aurelien Chedjou.

CB who plays for Lille and follows Cabaye on Twitter, answered a message from Toon fan the other day asking if he'd like to come to Newcastle with something like "of course".

Cabaye said: “I told my friend (Mathieu) Debuchy he should come here. He said he would love to come to England and Newcastle. He would like to come here.

“Newcastle now has a big reputation in France. When we play, French TV now shows Newcastle games. They try to show every game and support them.”

Claude Puel, his former coach, once described Debuchy as 'a player who puts his head where others wouldn't put their foot'.

As well as being good at the back, Debuchy has a wicked shot and is known as a good crosser of the ball.

Old news but seems a decent player
