Agree. We have a fantastic chance to establish us as a top club, maybe even improve, if we can get in some decent players. As it is now we would just blow it(?), like the Bowyer-summer. Hopefully not. But it just feels so unnecessary to risk anything.

 

I hope we today can find something out about this transfer. Even if everything is ok it´s just so frustrating not to no anything.

Beyond Debuchy being likely to, we dont even know if the likes of Anita will improve our first team or just gives us more options. We're starting the season with the same squad who amassed the 3rd most points in the league from January onwards. We have Saylor back, Marveaux fit & hopefully Ba to relearn what goals are again. Yet we "desperately need players" ? Without this singular transfer we could "just blow it". Get your heads together man and chill out.

Yeah we'd all like to sign some players but theres enough positives for these transfers not to stress people out to much. Theyll be doing their best to sort players. Only real loss id say is Guthrie & the likes of Jonas can fill in centrally also. Just wait it out, see no reason not to be positive going into the season & still be hopeful towards transfers atm.

The guy is currently a guaranteed starter in a team that regularly plays in the Champions League and challenges for their domestic title.

I'd be pretty fucking concerned if he didn't have reservations about potentially warming the bench for a team that might challenge for a Europa League spot this season, even if it is in a better league and for more money.

The reason for the hold up is that for every new signing the club produce a DVD/BLURAY/3D BLURAY explaining Newcastle and how they envisage the new signing fitting into the team. Colo and Pardew have filmed their bits and Pardew has produced this huge tactical analysis, however the DVD has to be in English and the language of the player's home nation, however the dutch translation is on hold as we found out that the translator is Steve McClaren.
