Guest neesy111
There's no definitive way of deciding what the overall feeling / views are whether they are on here, in a poll in the Chronicle, in SJP etc.
Dave
Supermac should know all about dressing room rifts. He was usually at the centre of them. His only evidence seems to be an incident between Jonas and Cabaye. I suspect there is a problem in the dressing room, around Ba. He seems quite a domineering character and Colo doesn't look the most assertive of captains. I don't buy this general French - Spanish rift though. Dokko
What's the point in the 8 year contract then? So we could sell him for loads should a club come calling?
Guest hatem garrincha
The big contradiction is between the type of players Carr brought to the club - little technical players (HBA, Cabaye, Marveaux, Anita, Santon...- and Pardew's percentage hoofball philosophy

wormy
One of the most sound factless rumours we've had in a while tbh. It's been said a few times but, regardless of the new contract, there was no way in hell Ashley was seriously going to get burnt for 8 years' pay upon sacking. 8 year contract was just more PR guff, look at us we're stable etc.

Does anyone actually think that wlll happen now? Right now, absolutely not. But you just never know in football. Pardew could turn this around with a decent window, finish the season strong, board invest in the summer after seeing the collapse of this season and we go on to have a storming season next year. His stock would rocket and he'd still have 6 years on his contract. More chance he's sacked between now and then and we go nowhere like.

I thought Carr brought those players specifically, to give an identity of play to the club. In accordance with the board. Maybe I'm wrong.

NEEJ
Beardsley, you joking? He knows the club very well, He was an extraordinary attacking player. Is he still in charge of the reserve team ? He has absolutely no managerial credentials at all. The only thong he has in his favour is that he's a local bloke and he's in Ashley's pocket. No proof, no, that's just what is generally admitted. Do you think Pardew wanted those players ? Why doesn't he plays them in their strenghts ?
