Dave
It's better than sticking with what hasn't worked this season. Some fresh ideas wouldn't go amiss. People need to get out of this mentality that Pardew's on the cusp of being sacked IMO.

Kimbo
Looking to bring in a new coach according to Douglas in The Journal. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2013/04/24/alan-pardew-ready-to-bring-in-a-new-coach-at-newcastle-united-61634-33225771 Our outfield players have only been coached by Pardew, Carver, and Steve Stone for all this time? Who are we going to bring in, Terry Mcderrmot? I wonder what other clubs coaching set-ups are like.
Guest bimpy474
We stay up he will start the new season as manager. So a new coach can only help, never know he might be a real good one with a lot of influence over the useless idiot in charge. Add a couple of decent players, you never know Pardew may turn it around. Hold my breath i wont but if the idiot is still in charge i hope he can sort it out. Guest bimpy474
Looking to bring in a new coach according to Douglas in The Journal. Good news. That'll depend on who it is, i have my fingers crossed it's someone decent. It's certainly preferable to just sticking with Pardew with no change of personnel anywhere. If we are stuck with him, I'd at least want a some fresh impetus/ideas in the coaching methods. Yep, can only be a good thing, unless we chance on a coach more useless than Pardew and the others
littlelunchbox
Bringing in a new coach? Basically admitting that the current manager knows f*** all about coaching. Pointless in my opinion as any coach will ultimately be instructed and influenced by the turd. Just bring us a new manager.
TaylorJ_01
Steve Stone, man Taken from NUFC blog but, tbf to me, they are quotes. “We were tighter as a team. We kicked the ball longer. We tried to get as many bodies around the ball as we possibly could to make it difficult for their passing game.” - Newcastle United first team coach Steve Stone praising a route one performance against Swansea City (which we lost). “Alan Pardew will tell you that he tries to play good football – That’s rubbish, he plays long ball football. It’s very direct, there is no creativity in midfield, he just wants to play route one football. Every time I’ve seen his teams play, they play that way but he’ll say in the Press ‘we play good football.’ At times he can be a conman.” - ex player and pundit Stewart Robson when Pardew was appointed as Newcastle United’s manager. Guest bimpy474
A foreign coach, adept in passing possession football, who happens to have skill in set penises. Is that too much to ask ?.

Mick
I hope we're going to employ this new coach on a part time basis, Pardew will coach the defence for 4 days and the other 3 will get an hour each on a friday.
Dokko
Whoever he agrees to let coach for him will be awful, he wouldn't want someone with better ideas than him, not that he could find such a person if it bit him on the arse. We heard a lot of noise about Hughton getting a new assistant and he never did and was eventually sacked
Wullie
Stewart Robson does have a chip on his shoulder, he really dislikes Pardew as a person but nobody can deny the accuracy of what he said back then. Ridiculously accurate.

Guest Howaythetoon
I reckon, and its only my own personal twist on things, that DL would be more than happy to keep Pardew but Ashley himself having invested all that money in January, will not be happy with how things have panned out since January, especially the embarrassing defeat to the mackems. A defeat that could yet well seal Pardew's fate. I could well imagine Ashley thinking we should be doing better with the players we have, while DL plays the stability card. Both are chancers, as is the manager of course, so it really is all up in the air so to speak as to what can, could and maybe even will happen once the season ends. My own personal belief is that Pardew will survive but his cards are marked and the first 10 or so games of next season will determine whether he stays or goes long-term. The investment in January was Ashley's showing his concern that we would be relegated and also showing his hand that for Pardew at least, there can now be no more excuses. We now have a very good squad compared to what we started this season with and should have kicked on massively January onwards but today we still stare relegation in the face. Llambias is the key man in all of this IMO. Especially for Pardew.

Not sure how anyone knows anything about the dynamic of the Ashley / Llambias relationship and therefore which one is a bigger Pardew fan than the other. Mick
If they are thinking of giving him a limited number of games into next season then he's got to go at the end of this one. If we give him 10 games and decide to replace him we'll be looking for another Pardew or Souness to come in. We'll be looking for managers who are our of work or are about to get the sack. The best thing the club can do it get this season over and dump him and move on.
Wullie
Interesting that Hislop used a phrase there that quite a few of our players and coaching staff have used whilst he's been here - "hitting the front players early" He's a master of spin - it's just another way of saying Wimbledon circa 1992. There's still people on here who don't think he plays the long ball, that just boggles my mind.
