Give the lad a little stint on loan in the lower leagues, worked a charm for Olivier Bernard when we sent him to Darlington for a bit. 

 

Don't see why we would send him to the lower leagues.  He is far better than Bernard was at the point that he went to Darlington.

Yeap, I think he's shown he is capable to play in the premier league imo.

Yeap, I think he's shown he is capable to play in the premier league imo.

 

Maybe 3 month loan at a high end Championship team to get him fit and sharp then bring him back to our first team in Jan. Assuming the loan window is still open?

A year in the Championship did Colo the world of good. Sure it could benefit Haidara too.

 

Do we have the squad depth to allow a loan like that?

Not this season but next season we should keep Ferguson here and offer them Haidara. Maybe a 1-3 month loan with a recall option would work now though?

Colo would have been the same player whether he went in the Championship or not IMO. He just needed some experience in English football.

Not this season but next season we should keep Ferguson here and offer them Haidara. Maybe a 1-3 month loan with a recall option would work now though?

 

Agree, but maybe we could do 1/2 season loans with option to recall should we have any injury scares? I think that's a great idea though, bring Ferguson back who should be better equipped for first team and let Haidara go get some matches under his belt.

 

I was very excited by him, still am, but the emergence of Dummett has sort of nullified that. I really want Dummett to become a future international LB and I want him to be our starting man. Nothing against Davide or Sadio.

Santon, MYM and Dummett are fine at LB. Haidara needs games badly.

 

So does Dummett though otherwise his progress will stagnate. Be interesting to see if he's thrown in against City in the cup.

It is the same shit where people are questioning why none of our players are getting a decent loan and seemingly blaming the club.

 

 

Those we do loan for longer are not the greatest examples. The great white hopes Brayson/Ferguson come to mind.

Top 8ish championship club would be ideal. But anyone who is decent and will give him games tbh.

 

Butland has just went to Barnsley on loan, I reckon any Championship club would be good for him tbh.

Alternatives I can think of;

1. Santon at RB with Haidara/Dummett at LB

2. MYM at RB, Colo/Taylor in central.

3. Anita at RB

4. Tav at RB

 

I would prefer #1, with Haidara, but I think he will do #2 with Colo. That way he gets to play Colo, without dropping one of the recent performers.

 

If he does a pure swap I would expect Anita to outrank Tav.

The least disruption and most sensible choice would be Anita at RB, hence it wont be.

 

He's going to bring Coloccini back in anyway i reckon so based on the whole least disruption theme i reckon Mapou will play RB.

 

I don't necessarily agree with it but i think that's how its going to go down.
