I enjoyed the couple of weeks without any Pardew quote dissection.

Whether you judge him on his words or his actions, it's difficult not to come to the same conclusion.

I don't have a problem with concluding that he had a poor season last time around, it's the childish ridiculing of everything he says that annoys me. Anyway, who cares.

You do, loads

Step 1. Pardew says loads of stupid stuff at 9am-ish.

Step 2. Ian W and Incohi start defending him ASAP for the rest of day.

Repeat till Pardew gets sacked.

Step 3. Jack Flash posts something completely pointless and of no value to the discussion.

I don't, he was crap, I've said that loads of times. For some reason only the posts defending him get noticed, and all the rest gets overlooked.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how many actually do turn to like him again, obviously there is hipsters who have always disliked him and never been won over. However if he does turn out to have another good year, i wonder if people will convert to him twice?

How can he refute the fact that we played negative football last season? We were just constantly camped in our own half shit scared of the opposition at 0-0 or 1-0 to us, and even playing for a low scoring loss against the bigger teams, defending the 1-0 loss and such.

I hate this cunt and cant wait till Kinnear replaces him at Xmas.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how many actually do turn to like him again, obviously there is hipsters who have always disliked him and never been won over. However if he does turn out to have another good year, i wonder if people will convert to him twice?

 What does that even mean? You mean the people who didn't rate his managerial record, disliked his style of football and saw it as completely unsustainable and inevitably saw his shortcomings brought to light. Proper "hipster" that,  judging someone on their managerial ability

Well im guessing we all pretty much looked in disgust when Pardew was announced and he admitted himself he had the fans to win over. He won me over and a fair few more but you still had that certain section that even after a 5th place finish wasn't good enough and we were still shit and Pardew needed to go, so you're never going to win them ones over. However the people who enjoyed the success of a 5th place finished, looked forward to Europe and generally felt excited to push on but only to be let down by a horrific season, now seemingly hate Pardew again like he first arrived. Those are the fans that i'm not sure will fall in the same trap again if he does have another successful season. Holding hands up and saying Pards has done well for a second time isn't something i can see fans doing easily.

Yeha and it was justified, he'd done nothing that suggested he had the CV to take this job. Even in the 5th place there were many people saying it was not going to last, criticising the style of play etc. We got by on some fantastic individual performances. There were rare occasions that w played good football, the WBA away and that mini run, Stoke at home etc. But they were few and far between. Last season has written him off in my eyes, it was so mind bogglingly bad, I just can't see a recovery.

Yes you are right about his CV hence why i said everyone was disgusted. I'm now looking at the fact he's giving me the joy of a 5th place finish which i loved, walking out of SJP heading to the pub thinking of Champions League football being a possibility. Then he had a season where i skipped the pub on numerous occasions to go home and sulk but gave me a few hangovers at work on a Friday from decent Europe displays. I'm looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table next season but i'm confident i'll be going to the pub celebrating and not heading home all doom and gloom.
