A logo needs to tell us something, so it's usually the company name and no caption. i.e. Samsung, Virgin Money, LG etc etc. A crest is basically a Coat of Arms.

Would you call this a logo, Mike?

Damn, man. You even use the words "crest" in the US. It's in the American English Dictionary...

Crests are historical and often based on local shit. Logos are franchises based on what looks cool and communicates well to the customer. Pretty basic disctinction. :dontknow:

It looks like something they'd use in an anime or manga imo.

Edit: Guangzhou's, not the American crest.

 Does look like some soccer anime shit, tbh. Went from 7 to 2 on it now. :huff:

"Be the best forever" I bet that shit looks cool as hell if you can't read English.

See that? Yankees have been using that since 1909. 104 years uninterrupted. It's a symbol that's as synonymous with the area as it is with the team, if not more so. Lou Gehrig rocked it, Babe Ruth rocked it. Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio became legends with it on their cap. You want history? You want local shit? There it is.

I don't buy this "Ohhh there's a huge difference!" stuff, to be honest.

Can this not be a thing? Can we just post shit like "I think this (whatever) is nice" and be done with the bullshit?

It's not based off a coat of arms or a shield of arms template, so yes that's a logo. I made this point earlier when stating the differences between a logo and a crest.

That is precisely what we do with football over here, for better or worse. Part of the popularity of football is the way it has developed from just a sport to a way to channel the tribal culture that still exists.

In general I prefer the 3-4 defense. It allows you to disguise your pass rush better by having only 3 down linemen, meaning the 4th rusher can come from anywhere.
