You're allowed to admit he can be a very good goalscorer on his day, while maintaining - correctly - he has obvious flaws. No-one is saying he's a world-class consistent goalscorer. He is, however, a very, very useful player to have in your squad and is overwhelmingly likely to get you goals. "Bang average" he certainly is not.
