Big Geordie
Noticed on the True Faith group, on FB that there was some dickhead making racist comments, at Blackpool yesterday. I asked if the lad who heard it, had reported it - but he's not responded as yet. Are things getting worse though, particularly those who travel away from home? We had the bother at Darlington a couple of years back, the business at Wigan last season. Are things getting worse or is it being blown out of proportion? When I first started going to away games when I was 17 (1989) there was none of this business of acting like a prick - went to the match, had a good laugh/carry on and a sing, then got the Armstrong/Galley bus home. What is it with these little bastards that show no respect and sully the name of the club?

Dr Venkman
There's a thread for this: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,93930.0.html
AyeDubbleYoo
On a serious note, I have experienced a couple of distasteful group actions (e.g. the Adebayor song) and one or two individual racists. I wouldn't say it's got worse in recent years though.
Darth Crooks
Honestly think half of these uber-shit films like green street and football factory have something to do with glamourising this type of behaviour. Work with loads of kids who quote it all the time and produce half the behaviours seen. Romanaticises the period when it was rife. It's probably not the root cause but it doesn't help. Indicative of the underclass of wankers that we seem to have in this country nowadays. Football tribalism and crowd mentality is an ideal breeding ground for it unfortunately; despite those two things not being all that bad in truth. Boosden
Heard too many times about premier league players moonlighting, selling watches on the beach. Not funny, or even the fat Spanish waiter chants last year
Darth Crooks
Maybe so. Not old enough but this current particular chav culture is something that has very much emerged in my generation. (I'm 26) If it has always been that way then as a perpetual problem its very troubling.

Guest Phil K
Ironic apostrophe misuse. LOL Theres a app on iPad called "boss" where you can beat the sh** out of him, throw rotten eggs at him, darts etc - problem is, he looks nothing like Pardew Kinnear or Ashley. Imagination can only stretch so far, but I have used it to imagine "Boss" to be Pardew or Kinnear and work out some frustration.....
Big Geordie
Is it up to older fans to police the radgies though? It's all very well tutting and shaking your head when some knacker shouts racist abuse, but hows about reporting them to a steward or the police? People like that need to be exposed or shouted down. It seems that the more draconian measures that the club has employed, particularly with away game tickets hasn't worked, because these arseholes are still going to games. Super Duper Branko Strupar
It's a sad reflection of society rather than our fans. Each club has this problem, not just us. I'd be all for self regulation. Anyone that is being racist or a twat, you're allowed to give them a good kicking. That'll soon shut them up.

J7
Nothing to do with age tbh. Seems loads of older fans make absolute cunts of themselves. Villa away season before last for example. Loads of racism and dragging Irish flags down in disgust in an Irish pub with the usual No Surrender shit.
David Icke - Son of God
We have some absolute whoppers following us, make no mistake. I travelled down to Peterborough in the Championship and saw quite a few middle aged blokes clad in Wallsend EDL polo shirts making twats of themselves.
