Read a while ago that the reason you don't get an Adidas stripe all of the way down on football kits anymore is something to do with a court ruling that having the branding that big is too large and breaks some guideline.

 

Not sure how true that is or not.

Aye, FIFA and UEFA regulations that there has to be a break for the competition badge so you can't have the stripes all the way down

That's interesting. They must go back to embroidery after that for the players ones, as the Shearer one in the club shop is embroidered.

What’s the sizing like? Bought the player version last season in L, was a bit tight, swapped it for XL and it swamps me like a tent.

Got the replica in XL, I’m around 12 half stone, quite broad and it’s baggy but in the right way.

I bought the L away last year and had to return it for a XL as it was pretty tight in the shoulders and chest.  I am assuming the home shirt will be the same.

Fit feels really similar to last seasons shirts for me, quality maybe a little worse.

Been to the club shop twice recently, and pretty unimpressed with what’s on offer tbh.
 

Even most of the adidas stuff feels cheap for the prices they want for it, the drop off from the Originals/Purist stuff is absolutely astronomical. 
 

I’d happily pay a premium price if I thought I was getting a product that is worthy of that price. Guess I’ll just wait for whatever originals stuff they drop this year.
